Bacon for breakfast; no carbs, 10g protein.
A little bit out on a limb here for lunch -- the weather was awful and people in my office were ordering Chinese, so I decided to see how things went. I had egg drop soup, which is low-carb unless they thicken it with cornstarch; it didn't have that glossy look or the feel you get if there's a lot of it, so I'm going to assume this was fairly middle-of-the-road. And I had beef and broccoli; there's rice in the picture, but I didn't eat it. I'm counting this as about 16g carbs and 36g protein; my pre- and post-meal blood sugars say that's about right.
Dinner I ate at Cafe Express -- I'd sort of forgotten about them, because the things I always used to eat there were high-carb, but in fact they've got some nice entrees and great veggie choices. This is the chicken Romanesco, with broccoli and spinach; the sauce is tomato and red pepper based, but I didn't eat much of it. I also had some olives. About 8g carbs, 40g protein.
Two more muffins. I can't get over how cake-like these are, with no flour at all. However, also cake-like, I would find it really easy to scarf up way too many of these in a row; they don't seem to trip my satiety switch very quickly. About 4g carbs, 11g protein.
Totals for the day are 28g carbs, 97g protein.
