Started the day with bacon again. Mmm, bacon. No carbs, 10g protein.


For lunch, I had carne guisada at my favorite place again -- as I mentioned last time, it's significantly different every time; this rendition had a good deal of black pepper, which is unusual, and the vegetables were a bit sparser. I did get them to bring me just a slightly bigger portion of this and no sides at all, which was nice. About 6g carbs, 50g protein.


Dinner was, not by my choice, at a Cici's pizza buffet. I had a little pizza, toppings only, and a salad. At least I could have all the olives I wanted on my salad. About 6g carbs, about 20g protein.


Dinner really wasn't much, so I had some ham when I got home. About 6g carbs (it was honey cured), and 27g protein.


And a little chocolate snack -- these are teensy little Toblerone bars. I have 4 here, but I only ate 3; it was plenty, and I resisted the opportunity to eat the last one just because it was there. 9g carbs, and 1g protein.

Totals for the day were 27g carbs, and 108g protein.

A bit of useful trivia: at at least SOME Cici's, you can get them to just make you a pizza without crust (in a bowl) when you order their buffet. I did this at our local one and yes, they did it without complaint or question. I don't make a point of doing it, but it's good to have in the quiver, so to speak.

Oh, that is helpful to know! It never even occurred to me to ask; I bet my local one would be nicely accommodating that way also.
