January 29, 2009


I started the day with bacon, as I commonly do. No carbs, 10g protein.


Lunch was at Buffalo Wild Wings; I had their Naked Tenders, which are just grilled chicken, with wing sauce and blue cheese, and a side salad, no croutons, also with blue cheese. About 4g carbs, and about 30g protein.


I don't count calories or fat, exactly, but it's my feeling that I've been running pretty light on both these last few days. So I had a pretty high-fat dinner, with a dozen meatballs and about 3oz of cheddar. About 12g carbs, and 48g protein.

Dinner was pretty late, so no snacks tonight. Totals for the day are 16g carbs, 88g protein.

NAKED TENDERS that is awesome right there.

My latest Chili's discover is the salad and chili (no beans!) or, if you're really starved, the BOTTOMLESS salad and chili. If you're like me, don't let them bring you chips and salsa. (Although today I took the salsa so I could use it as dressing on my salad, which turned out to not be all that great.)

Oh, yeah, that chili at Chili's is delicious, although at 16g net carbs per bowl, I'm careful with it.

I've definitely learned to not even let them set chips and salsa on the table; it's so hard not to absently eat a handful of chips.
