January 18, 2009


Got up late, so no breakfast; for an early lunch, I had my leftover scallops and veggies from the night before. About 6g carbs, 32g protein.


And then I was snacky in the afternoon. I had some pork rinds (0 carbs, 16g protein)...


...and 2oz of cheese (0 carbs, 12g protein).


For dinner I had pizza toppings scraped off the crust. About 10g carbs, and 55g protein.


Bedtime snack was two Lindt truffles. One thing I really like about low-carb eating is how it's restored my ability to eat substantially less than all the available sweets -- a package of these lasts me for weeks, not a day or two like it once would have (if I'd even dared to buy it, which I generally would not have done, because having this sort of thing in the house was too tempting). 10g carbs, no protein.

Totals for today were 26g carbs, and 115g protein -- I probably should have more closely considered the kind of snacks I'd had when making dinner decisions, because that put me well over goal.
