It's possible that I'm in a rut with the bacon. It's not possible that I care. As usual, no carbs, 10g protein.
Lunch was a repeat -- the pot roast lunch from The Black Eyed Pea again. SO. GOOD. 10g carbs, and about 40g protein.
A little mid-afternoon snack -- half an ounce of mixed nuts. 4g carbs, 3g protein.
Dinner was chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. Before I was doing low-carb and was merely testing meals I regularly ate to see what they did to my blood sugar, I could eat this and not pop up too high, but I didn't risk it; I made this low-carb by dumping the filling out of the tortillas and mixing it up with the yummy sauce. I'm going to reckon 5 carbs for the tomatillo and traces of the tortilla, and about 40g protein from the chicken and cheese.
Fabulous little treat at the end of the day -- exactly one ounce of Bleu d'Avergne blue cheese, and 6 of the Blue Diamond Nut Thins in the hazelnut flavor. I really like these crackers -- the flavor and crunch is great, and the carb cost is low; there are 23g in a serving, but that's 16 crackers -- by having 6 instead, I've cut it to around 8. Totals in this snack are about 9g carbs, about 6g protein.
Today I've run about 28g carbs, and about 99g protein. In the zone on both numbers (although pushing the top on protein), so I'm pleased with today.
