Someone mentioned this yogurt in the comments of one of the blogs I read (I'm afraid I don't remember which one), so I thought I'd try it out. Not bad! It's sweetened with sucralose and ace-K, so the only carbs are the ones that naturally occur in milk. 3g carbs, and about 4g protein in this serving.
I had lunch at home today; leftovers of the chicken and Parisienne carrots from a couple nights ago, and a salad with blue cheese on the side (I keep it on the side, even at home where I have control of the amount, because I like to dabble my fork in the dressing and then spear the salad -- you get plenty for flavor but use a lot less this way). About 8g carbs, and around 25g protein.
I was running kind of light for the day, so I had a snack in the evening -- crackers, and 1-2/3 oz (which was what I had left) of the Bleu d'Avergne that I so enjoyed the other day. About 9g carbs, and about 11g protein.
About 34g carbs, and 68g protein -- I'm actually below goal on the protein and probably should have had a little meat along with the cheese or something, ideally.

Aaaaa I was ready to get all excited about the yogurt and then I saw the Ace-K. Diet Coke with Splenda and Ace-K appears to be a headache trigger for me (which is why I now have half a 12-pack doing nothing.) Oh well, with the amount of protein I'm trying to get, it would be wasted eating anyway. :)
I'm interested in the Nut Thins, though. No gluten, hmmmmm. Are you finding them retail or what?
Yeah, you mentioning ace-K (or the combo of ace-K and Splenda) as a headache trigger was one reason why I specified what this was sweetened with. Have you tried other things besides the Diet Coke with both, though? Because that formula is WEIRD, not just differently sweetened.
I am finding the Nut Thins retail -- Kroger and HEB both carry them. Kroger stocks them in their special "health food" section, and HEB stocks them in the aisle that's also got the kosher foods and other specialty stuff, in a section that's got the same brands of cookies and crackers and stuff that Kroger calls health food.
No, to be fair, I haven't. Fair point.
I'll have a look around in the eclectic food areas in IGA and Wal-Mart, thanks. I'm not cool enough to have a Kroger. :)
It's not my fault you live in the boondocks.
Do you have a Safeway? I checked our other chain, Randall's (which is a Safeway subsidiary), last night, and they also have these crackers.
I'll let that boondocks thing slide. No, no Safeway. We have an IGA and two Walmarts, pretty much.
